• Ha, no all good advice cheers. Knees and hips, yeah tbh hips were the last things I was thinking of. Also, hope I'm being paranoid but clocked a kid on a ped yesterday at the lights near where I live, he sort of circled me and did a u turn. Today I got home, did a loop round the block wheeled bike up on the pavement, same kid rides past, from the direction I've just come from... Hundred percent sure it was the same kid. It's locked up on a side alley by my house, locked behind a tall gate. Still not got a proper lock, got a few bike locks on it and it's wedged against the fate with a lock on that. So would be a bit of an undertaking for them to get at it...

  • Can lend you an almax.

I rate hiprotec armour from Hein Gericke and hip armour is a good thing. Also knee armour.

  • Alarm disc lock? That way you'll hear if someone moves it.
Got an old iPhone, I used manything.com app as a CCTV. Used to to catch a guy steal my cover. It's decent app.

  • If you use a disc lock get one with a fluorescent bungy cord or reminder cable that you can attach it to the brake lever or twist grip. A mate of mine got about two feet before he remembered his disc lock and it cost him a brake lever, mirror, fairing panel and an engine casing.

  • You're not being paranoid at all. Get the plate if you see them again, try and take a picture and call the police. this is exactly how bikes get stolen. Thieves knocked through a breeze block wall of an outbuilding to take my mate's KtmS in west London. Exactly after being followed back like this.
