PC PSU converts wall-socket 230v AC to internal-bus 12v DC? So therefore a 12v case fan will work from a car electrical system? I know almost nothing about this btw.

Maseratis are Poundstretcher Ferraris

Boom!

They're also twenty five years older than their more successful rivals.

Yet, still infinitely more interesting than bland German four pot diesels

Bit sensitive m8s!

Depends what you want out of life.

Cars serious business
-
• #27285
Nah, I reckon it stands. You may just want/need a runabout, but a mazer is still more interesting

Is interesting. I see Red Bull are teaming up with Aston Martin for a Bugatti Chevron busting hypercar. Geneva was just dick swinging at it's most purile.
Where does the luxury market meet the race track tho? Can I go to Saino's in a 956?

I used to see a guy down in bournemouth doing his weekly tesco shop in a noble m12. Sort of close.
-
• #27288
It can't. A race car is the opposite of luxury.
I know all driving on the track is not racing, but there is a massive difference between sports cars and race cars

How about a 962 : https://vimeo.com/50473835

Basically excess is exciting.
I have it on good authority Newey will be using CFD technology to put more downforce into this road car than F1.

Who's arguing that a German 4-pot is more interesting than a Mazzer?
-
• #27292
Yep, I get the point about track cars.

In terms of 'excitment' a roadworthy Pre-War Monster must be up there.

Yep, you'd be overvolting the fan a bit given the voltage from the alternator will usually be between 13.8v and 14.4v, but it should be fine. I've used PC CPU fans before for cooling regulators on bike engines. Worked nicely.

956? Luxury. Real men do the Saino's run in a 917.

OOOOOF.

Amazing! I'm about to head down there now.

What volts does your car run? Or what feed can you find 12-13.8-14.4v Does it matter to the fan I mean that the fan will turn faster/slower or internally melt. Some people fit them to motorbike rec/reg to cool them.
Oh and mount it on rubber mounts so things don't vibrate and produce noise.

Yeah computer stuff is 12Vdc so will hook right up to car Stuff no bother.
A guy with an 855 plumbed one in on a spare dash switch to run for 20 minutes beyond ignition off to ventilate the boot of dog moisture. Used to be a legit optional extra, but likely some epic amount of cash -

He doesn't look remotely disabled.
Only a cunt/John Terry parks in a disabled bay when they're not disabled.
Yes that! Also had seen folks with same problems with them. Plumb your own air feed around the rad pack and add a 12v case fan to exhaust out the side or rear of housing.
Diesel doesn't ever produce much heat so not an ossie for me.
The old 7xx/9xx cars when running mods in rhd would melt the brake fluid reservoir and then catch fire. Lhd cars didn't have that problem
