That's not true. Several drivers have been convicted of murder in the last few years for, well, murdering bike riders who were not police officers.

There are undoubtedly many cases in which drivers don't receive the sentence they deserve, but it's not true to say that 'justice' is only applied in cases involving police officers.
remember kids, if you're silly enough to collide with a car, make sure you have a warrant badge if you want the drivers to face anything remotely resembling justice.
