Since moving on nearly all of the 'might be useful one day' components, alternative forks, extra frames, different bars and associated brakes etc, myfirstsweetfixieh, road bike, (admittedly piece of shit) mountain bike etc, I have felt very much better.
The same with my extra musical equipment. It just feels good to have only what you need and get the absolute most you can from it.
Sure this will end on 'shit fixie sidders say' but the whole reason fixed gear ever appealed was largely to do with their minimalism, and it's been a great process getting back to that. now I just want to refine it!
