Ah, the first one you posted a few pages back was the smaller "Classic".
This one looks similar to a "Cadet", which also has a can opener and file.

I always thought they were technically separate brands. My do-it-all from the army surplus is a Wenger and it's one of the best things I've ever owned. Ever. Guy in the shop had some kind of story about which company is the army supplier which year and so on.
You may be right, though, they are probably both owned by the same heartless corporation.
Think you'll be out of luck if it's discontinued, but maybe have a search around cobbler's shops for older stock. I know at least one cobbler here in Swindon has a million different Victorinox, Inox, Wenger, Opinel, etc. I will have a look next time I'm passing if you like.

I've got a question, do you think they'll let me race my Neil at LVV? Planning on doing my track induction and I'd prefer to ride my own bike. Of course I'll make sure it's sparkling clean before I go but I'm worried that they won't like the amount of chips and scratches etc.
What do you guys think?
Also I have a set of these tyres which are minty fresh, are they track legal?

Ahh that makes sense, sounds a bit like cwc and mwc with army watches.
I semi-regularly scan various European ebays (the euro search on UK ebay doesn't show you everything) but no luck yet. If you do ever find yourself in that cobbler then I'd be hugely appreciative if you had a quick look for the elusive bantam alox. Let me know if there's anything in Sydenham I should keep an eye out for, there's a cracking Sainsbury's down here. -

A little while ago someone on here was talking about some DT levers that all the pros used in the 70s/80s. They would have Campag groupsets but used these non-Campag levers because they were very good at not slipping.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
Replaced the front and rear tyres on my fixed gear bike last night, cleaned the chain and put it back together. This morning on the way in to work heard a slight grinding noise from the drive train area so assumed the chain was a bit dry after cleaning it.
Went to ride home this evening and the grinding was more like creaking, and noticed that the bottom belracket on the drive side was working it's way loose. This has never happened before in about a year of daily commuting.
Any thoughts?
