Hmm.. actually I might just pull the cranks off my spare TT bike. Ultegra semi-compact. Save me buying another set even if only £50 for a used crankset.

Is it the first recall?
-
• #1605
I'm hoping that all the testing @taogeogheganhart did has removed the need for a recall.

It's not red at all, even with this crappy monitor and my eyesight, it's clearly black.

Got it working?
-
• #1609
Not tried yet. It's replacing the groupset on my road bike, so I'll probably wait until the weather improves before fitting it. I ordered it now because a) I had the money for it and b) supply has been irregular so I wanted to have it to hand for when I get the chance to fit it.

I don't recommend my approach to getting the funds in place for this, i.e. getting car doored and fracturing your sternum.

Thank you, yes. The incident was in July, so I'm long healed. The insurance payout just took a while longer.

glad to hear it. well, you've made the right choice with the money.
If you want some help grinding off all the cable stops, I have a dremel and I'm very eager.

My new bike is being funded by Uxbridge Rd.
Took 12 months to get the cash out of the council for trying to kill me (again). -

If you wanted to run a 1x setup with Shimano could you set it up so the left hand shifter paddle shifted down and the right hand shifted up? Entirely theoretical question because I'm broke I was just wondering.
-
• #1622
Yes.
-
• #1623
I guess the other two shifter paddles would just do nothing? I'm assuming they're irremovable.
-
• #1624
Road or TT?
There are single-button shifters for TT extension that do this.
