He's not wrong though. Choosing your ratio by the way it looks over how well it suits your needs is pretty stupid.

i think the bigger issue is that adding track gearing would do nothing to making that bike nice, it's butters to the highest degree. That frameset has seen much better days

(dunno if it is even the same frame, but WHATEVER)
