Mines going on boring adult stuff and the cost of living.

In other news I received the GP.

Pros:
- it looks nice
- visible condition is decent
- I think it will be liked
Cons:
- it is very, very stiff to wind relative to anything I have wound before
- it stopped a few times yesterday and has just stopped again
- after a wind and a wear and being left over night the power reserve lasted 7hrs.
- after extensive interneting I am 99% the rotor/weight has been milled out for some reason with a spacer ontop and a screw to hold it. So it should look like the nickle movement.
I want to take it to Alsal to have a look, but as he said they don't do eBay watches and only looked at the previous one as it was a present I feel a bit embarrassed going back immediately with a dud.

Regarding the work done on the rotor, I'd be slightly concerned about what else might lurk beneath. There are watchmakers who would be willing to work on it, but just be careful that it doesn't end up being a money pit.

I know... sigh

I'm a bit annoyed that instead of sticking to a quite rigorous process of asking questions and focusing on common movements I jumped on what I thought looked best.

There's a rotor for a slightly different 39 jewel 22.19 on eBay that I was wondering about pre-emptively buying just in case.
