Contemplating a pair of Veloflex Record and latex tubes for HCs. Like a poor / thinking man's tubular setup.

Probably not a bad idea. Or you could use tubs.

That would require a whole different set of wheels though. This way I can roll on GP4000s ii over the summer and switch to tissue-paper tyres for the end of the season.
