  • Direction of travel.

  • We'll be having a conversation with manger x about the direction of travel of club x.

  • Insanity, delusion and anger are three of the ones I use to cope

  • I have just found out I favour petty foot stomping

  • So on current progress we might only lose to Swansea by one goal.

Only 8 more games to suffer.

  • You honestly think you'll do better in the championship?

  • It depends on what sort of crapshambles the club comes up with in the summer. We'd probably manage mid-table currently. If we keep Garde, back him, ship out the crap and hang on to the few decent looking players then we've got a chance to get back up.
More likely is that Remi will go, we'll keep the likes of Richardson, Gabby, Hutton etc and Ayew, Amavi, Gana, Gil will fuck off. In that scenario I can see us struggling, seeing the parachute payments dry up and being down for a long while.
Seeing the likes of Bournemouth talked about picking off our players is desperately depressing.

  • Yep, I'm struggling somewhat to believe our current run of WDWWWDWDWWWWWW

Just hoping we're not going to join in with the collapse that seems to have hit the other teams round the top.

  • Is Garde actually good?

I'm not trying to be down on the guy, I just don't know - Some of the goals you've let in recently have been classic examples of p!ss poor team defending, the kind of goals that new managers come in & sort pretty quickly. I know he's still having to work the the greedy good for nothings in your squad but still....

Hopefully for Villa they can go down, get rid of all the proven failures in the squad (all of the old guard) then come back up with a spritely young, exciting team.

  • Gib him right off and get someone that knows how to get outta dodge....but sadly you have much bigger fish to fry: your board are waaaank! They're the reason you're where you are and they don't have a clue how to run football.

We aren't out of the woods but have the luck of having a decent manager. When will the USofA financier take overs end? Are there any success stories with these people?

  • Well in Uefa. There's nothing to be done re the horrific songs. But they are the biggest club in the world, right?

    [/slow clap]

Just waiting to see how many bells here continue that lazy meedja narrative: They're as bad as each other.

    No we are not.

  • I honestly don't know if Garde is any good. I like the way he talks and acts, but I really hoped we'd have at least shown more solidity at the back. It seemed to be happening for a brief spell (at least drawing, if not winning) then Jan came and no-one new came in and the whole squad seemed to give up collectively.

I just don't think changing that manager again is going to get us anywhere. It's Lerner, Fox, Reilly etc that need to go (and by all accounts will be out soon).
    a) who decent would want to come in - the club is poisonous.
    b) anyone new would just have to evaluate the squad and work out what they need. At least Remi has done that. With a new manager we'll be 6 months behind in that process.
    c) I don't want there to be any possibility that Richardson, Gabby, Hutton, Zog, Sinclair, Guzan et al get another chance.

  • ....But he's a manager that has never managed in the EPL, and now will be playing in a new tougher Championship league having had his best players cherry picked. Exactly whom would you be relying on for scouting and purchasing?

  • Pochettino, Flores, Koeman? No PL experience, but seem to be doing OK.
The Championship isn't tougher - the teams are worse. It's not going to be easy to get out of - I'm well aware of that, but there's no reason we can't. We are after all, a BIG club with HISTORY, etc.

Anyway - I don't know that he is right for the job, but there's a shitload of other problems at the club I'd like to see sorted first.

  • who decent would want to come in - the club is poisonous.

I'd be up.for a touch of asset stripping if we can get a consortium together.

I've got 5k left on my credit card, prob only need another 5...

  • 'Arry to Derby?

Rosie looking at the finances as we speak...

  • Please please please

  • And Glenn Hoddle too? Fuck. My. Life.

  • 'Arry to Derby?

Wow - and I thought things couldn't be worse than at Villa.

  • I'm glad I support palace/dulwich.
