    TRP have done me a proper solid and are replacing the front calliper under warranty via their UK distro. Their service has been ace - really communicative and responsive which totally takes the edge off having the bike out of action. So props to Katie @ TRP there.

    She did recommend doing the spraying out/lubing thing that's mentioned in that thread, every month or so I guess. Will be dodging that area in future as far as the degreaser goes too.

  • Didn't strip my SLC's on the 650 build, but did liberally spray and work a load of lubricant in to the calipers this weekend. Worked a treat on a slightly stuck front caliper. Will be repeating regularly! Thanks for the heads-up

    I took apart a customer's Spyre to see why it felt rough, and found it to be quite dry (the ball bearing).

    Also the bearing is TINY, like really tiny compared to the Avid BB7 (which use 3 big bearing instead).
