  • I grew up in Swansea (near Killay) and I'm not aware of any of these companies, so this thread is a great find. I might pop in to check them out when I'm back over Christmas. The guys at Paulus Quiros definitely need a new website though, jeez.

Looking forward to seeing the final build.

  • Both Paulus Quiros & Bespoke wheels are relatively new companies.

PQ moved to Swansea from Burry Port earlier this year. Their new premises at Swansea marina doubles as a showroom on the upper floor with a workshop downstairs. I like the downstairs bit!

Gareth started Bespoke Wheels a couple of years ago. He works from home, so no premises as such to visit. I'm sure he'll fit in some wheel work for you over Xmas though if you need anything done!

  • Just about finished. I've plonked the original 64:40 bars & stem back in for the pic, but I've managed to source some wider 66:44s which will be finished with white tape.

  • Lovely! Needs a black saddle and tape though I reckon

  • @DHD

Dead nice that you've just rejuvenated what was there already! Bravo.

  • Lovely bike, I would have kept the TT decal though

  • I like that red tape. It might lose something if you change it to white!

  • I think I've got another 1a stem here that I can use with the new 66-44 bars, so I'll put them together with the white tape and see how it looks. That way, I won't have to disturb the original tape to free up the stem, if I go to the fallback option of original spec.

  • What a great job you have done on this bike @DHD! Kudos. Also thanks for the tip on AWP. I live in Cardiff and have been after a good small local (ish) company for a couple of frames. Cheers bro
