Love that Koga, 7800 will look ace on it! DA seatpost too?

Thanks, the one from Nordstern is unfortunately too short for me, the one on Koga is a stripped Dorico Pro, I have an inline Thomson as well, but I think I will need some setback so it's going to stay for now.

According to the 2001 Koga brochure it is Koga's own triple butted FM-1 CrMo oval tubing. Still looks suspect of MAX, but who knows...

And some more internet knowledge on Kogas in Max tubing : "An 'oddball' steel frame that is absolutely lush is the by Miyata in Japan made Columbus Max tubing FullPro model. It was introduced in 1993 as FullPro-L and continued in '94 and '95 as FullPro-S."

i have seen simliar tubing with Fm-1, i was suggesting that koga have used max in the past
this example is on the market, looks max esque, and has the fm-1 decal

Yes, but seems that the MAX ones also had MAX forks and stays, while the look-a-likes were FM-1 and alu forks... Still hard to say, but I couldn't believe they would be so cheap to use MAX and label it as FM-1.

I don't know if "be so cheap" is the right thing
Colnago did some shit with tange decals, arguably to make the brand more appealing to the Jap market, I have a super pui ( wicked little whip, had a few fast laps round Regents park, the first I hung on a fellas wheel, he was proper sweating when we stopped at lights, but I digress)
i have seen the exact same super pui ( fucking purple) with Columbus tube decal, so, re Colnago, they may have just used dif decals for marketing porpoises, the romantic in me would like to believe Koga used max but decaled with fm-1 to be true to Jap heritage, wasn't the factory in Holland? -

It needs a nature boy frameset! I know it should be gears or a ss frame but this is simple, cheap and reliable

@Lychee it would be perfect with a slightly longer stem.
I have too many current projects but here are my last three.
A gt gtb which is waiting for its wound up to come back from the frame builder and I will have to rebuild the wheelset -araya ct19n on phil wood.
A mash sscx which will need a longer cranks as the current sram red is too short, a seat back seat post and a new saddle as the matra is broken.
And a cannondale caad10 which will have a cannondale hollowgram crankset.Sorry for the crappy pics.

Not as nice as your stuffs but thanks!
Initially Nordstern was supposed to be my first road bike with a mix of DA 7400 and Ultegra (when I realized that DA is too expansive), but somewhere on the way I got DA 7800 groupset for just 250 € on E-bay and decided that I need a bit more modern frame for it, so that's where the Koga came in. The Nordstern will need to go unfortunately.
