Just finished putting this together today. Very happy with the way it came out, and I like the SRAM Hydro discs a lot.

Thanks! Yeah it's the CX Disc.
Confusingly, Kinesis also have the very slightly cheaper CXD which I initially specced. However, they've changed the design of the CXD so it features an integrated carbon crown race, which is no good if you want to run a Hope or King headset, as you can't seal the lower bearing.

yes, I've specced those for my rourke, which is planned to be a similar build. This has got me all excited. you don't have any images of the clearance on the forks do you? (only if it's not hassle)

Not a problem, just took a quick snap. This is a Challenge Grifo mounted on a Pacenti SL25 rim. It's rated as a 33mm tyre, but comes up closer to 35mm on this rim. There's bags of room.

Yeah, the mount point is behind the crown - you need to fabricate a hanger to make it fit, but that's not too hard.

Ah, nice. I'm having something quite similar built, but the plan was to go for thruaxle front and rear. Did you consider going down that route?

I did, but when I was speccing the frame the only through axle mudguard capable fork was the TRP, and it wasn't available.
Likewise for the rear, I could have gone with Paragon Machine Works Polydrops, but didn't think it was necessary. There are more through axle dropouts turning up on the market now, though.

Well, this is my first build done on a commercial basis. It's for a friend, but he wanted it treated like a standard custom build. That's prompted me into sorting out liability insurance and a host of other things.
At the moment it's a part-time thing, but if I can turn a profit while doing something I enjoy then I'm going to give it a go. I can't just build them for me & the better half, I'll run out of space & money!
