Rotor InPower 3D+, so a 30mm axle. I think there's clearance now I kinked the cable.
You're build looks slick. Last time I was in Mud Dock was nursing a mother of a cider hangover.

Noted! Thanks

interested to hear how it works out! what did you go for hy/rds?
-

Me too - don't want to damage the axle, it's where the science lives.
Spyre SLC + 160mm Shimano RT81 rotors. Looking forward to testing them out. Was surprised by the heft of the rotors though.

Test riding tomorrow, taking my Enve wheels/strada bianca's with me to check clearance, you are welcome to come over-12 at Evans Mortimor strt

how could i fuck it up you ask??? accidentally ordering the bartape with the stupid logos on..
i really hate it but desperate to ride tomorrow. fuck sake.
am i going to marker pen all the logos out? i fear when i get sweaty my hands will go black. might be a stupid idea
-
• #4311
the logos wear off pretty fast i seem to remember. can't you also wrap is from the other side if that makes sense? or are the logos on both sides

Is it the really thin one? If so, you can simply buy whatever colour cloth tape and wrap that on top.
The cloths get more comfortable over time and you still get the cushioning underneath while still being within the thickness of a normal cork tape.

Just get some of the 2mm super tacky stuff, that's the best tape ever. Marker pen sounds like a very bad idea.

It's black, it gonna be hard to tell unless you held it.

Got the CAAD built up and running realised 52/36 is a bummer up some of the more difficult climbs - so i wanted to go back to compact - managed to source an ultegra 34 and a rather garish (ugh that font) 50t KCNC chainring ... i ask the powers that be .. how should i feel about it ?
are aero-rings a no no ? currently liking it but i do want to take a rattle-can to those KCNC letters - pretty sure they're visible from the moon...

What hills are you not getting up with a 36 that you can with a 34? Running a 28t cassette?
-
• #4318
An 11-32 would be a cheaper and easier solution providing a lower gearing than a 34\28 combo

Would need a new (long cage) RD?
-

For some reason, it work fine with the SS derailleur, as long you screw in the derailleur limiter.

doesn't look that bad tbh, and the fizik microtex wears pretty quickly anyway. You've got a couple months of hard riding before you replace it anyway, no worries.

Anyone with a 54 CAAD 10 (disc ideally)?
Not got my frameset to hand, but trying to work out if my seatpost is long enough.
I've got the geo-sheet which says BB to TT (c-to-c) is 52cm, but need to know how much height there is above the centre of the TT, or ideally the length from BB centre to top of seat-tube -

so managed to get out on this today, very pleased. initial thoughts;
frame + hollowgram combo is very very stiff (compared with hong-fu carbon), which I really like
wheels are heavy, but the width is nice and leads to a very comfortable ride with open paves (despite getting a puncture LOL)
discs are amazing, much better than I thought. no locking up or anything, handle brilliantly
6800 shifts so so well , large difference from 6700. thought the spiderring instead of shimano ring would compromise on fd shifting - not one bit. trims nicely too -

This is immense. A+

That Canyon post. Maybe I should sell mine?
Be wary, some Campagnolo cable are a little shorter than Shimano, so check the length before you pull out the old cable
