I hate it, obvs... ;)

Alright kids. Anyone flogging anything surf-friendly? Offset, single coils, trem, what have you? Lower end of the market so Danelectro type stuff is fine.

Someone flogging a beautiful jag upthread?
Played so much today that my hands have gone all weak. So much fun.

Although the Zvex Fuzz Factory looks amazing too.

Man if i had the cashes... Love the low notes actually shaking the camera on this.

Le Board looks great!
I had the use of a Fuzz Factory for a while. It was cool but I could never find the same settings twice...
Currently got a PTD Mini-Bone. It does mad spitty tromboney sounds but it's really good for low-gain-fuzz-that-isn't-overdrive if you know what I mean. This vid's a bit fusion-tastic but it gives an idea.

Ooh. Ok will check it out. Yeah sorry @Zed but the clone bender, rad as it is, is just too wild for what I want most of the time. It's fun to mess about with but it's hard to find a use for it with what I do. The gain, even rolled all the way off is still crazy squealing hiss and fart with tonnes of really high frequency skronk and it's all a bit out of control in a fizzy nuclear powered distortion pedal kind of way... which is dope, but I need something a little more tameable. More mid-toned with that flat battery ripping velcro vibe. Obvs not going to drop £300 on the fuzz factory 7 but the vexter series ones are about £150 and they look pretty great. I dig the gate function for noiseless filth. Tempted.

Do it! I've had a non-vexter FF since about 2001 (massive muse fanboy as a teen) and it gets so much use for band stuff. Going in to a hot amp sounds like the end of the world but you can dial it back and get great crunch that cuts right through live.

Is it a MkII clone? Might take that off your hands if you've still got it when I'm over in the summer... ;)
-
• #3912
^It is. It's amazing at what it does but it's pretty much out of control at any setting.

Only problem with the vexter is it's portrait orientation is going to make it tricky to fit on the board after the Klone... hmmm.

Can't really re-arrange the order either as I want the dynamic effects first and i want overdrive into fuzz followed by the time-based ones like delay and reverb. Maybe I could squeeze it in. *orders more right-angled jack leads

Sounds perfect... 😀

ponytails and cellphone belt holsters as far as the eye can see...
i might go.

I was tempted but the incessant clang/twanging of mindless slapping at these kind of events put me off. Plus I went to Bass Gear in Twyford last weekend & spent all my money on a new cab.
The new offering from Eich Amps look interesting though.

why else go if not to spank out a bit of Level 42 on an £11 000 warwick 6 string with a sweet purple stained buckeye burl finish (gold hardware, obvs) to an assemblage of similarly failed middle aged, spreading musos wearing RUSH t-shirts?
-
• #3919
Ha! Worst. Show. Ever.
just bought the regular Z-Vex Fuzz Factory.
somebody stop me spending please
-
• #3921
Well when you put it like that... Now where did I put my "Bassist do it deeper" T-shirt?

Robert Trujillo seems like a really sound guy. He's also fucking abysmal bass player. Perfect fit for the world's shittest rhythm section.
-
• #3923
lol - they really aren't much cop for arguably the biggest stadium douche rock outfit the world has ever seen.

Big thing for Japanese 'Gibsons' here; Greco, Burny, Orville, etc... They go for decent cash, I was aware of them in a small way back in the UK but you can't get away from them here, they are everywhere... Geography, I guess...
An old mate has been in Brissy promoting his new album and he rocked up with a bolt-on Greco SG... Ewwww...
