  • Jogging is running at an easy pace. It's what runners do, innit. Or to put it another way, if someone thinks you're jogging you're obviously making it look easy. (If I'm doing a 20 mile race I definitely start things off with a nice jog.)

A very pleasing tempo run on the track last night, one of those that felt so much better than the last hard effort and suggests the fitness is coming back quicker than I thought. Decided to start out @ ~marathon pace and see how I felt. Felt OK stretching out for the last mile, which ended up faster than my 800 reps on Tuesday. 4 miles @ 5:34/m, splits 5:45, 5:37, 5:37, 5:17. (10 miles total.) I might be up for a Dulwich parkrun tomorrow to assess form before next week's Southern 12-stage road relays.
