It's early days yet, and today pushed me to go and take photos in an environment that I'd never tried before.

I think it's a great theme I just need to man up and ask for portraits or take more candid photos, tried today but all came out a bit meh, ill just keep trying till the deadline, Its a theme that is putting me out of my snapy snap comfort zone and that's good.

I'm confused. Why do we need to worry so much about 'man up' or 'ask for portraits'? This is what happened in our week is it not? An interesting photo of your local chicken shop - or just something else in your week - might cut the mustard, might it not?

:) dont worry. Previous challenge didnt have a ssingle entry for two days

this is just my personal opinion and how im looking at the theme, you dont have to look at it that way.
-
• #783
Grazie.
I think it's maybe a theme where shots are best unplanned – just get involved, pap away on intuition and see what happens.
-
• #784
Indeed. But do we need to look at it any way? Maybe just something that happened in the course of your week? Does it need to be anything special? A decent snap..?

Sounds legit to me.

I'm no photographer btw. Merely a hopeful chancer.
-
• #787
Well I guess it should have some journalistic value in someone's opinion.

Thanks ... I totally missed the hashtag. Was that added in an edit?
I'm now less sure this is relevant – but here is a really nice reportage blog:

Rah! I've run up the road, bought a Pot Noodle, a strong Polish beer & taken various photos. I've, maybe, got over-excited. This thread's wicked! We can only enter one photo though, can we not?

My walk on a mild evening in Chelsea NYC.
The Car wash on 10th Av. Open 24 hrs it's one of the old hold outs in chelsea with in the recent gentrification of the area it sits proudly alongside high end art galleries and condo buildings of glass and metal. Working away cleaning the cars of manhattan and proving a great service.Played with the levels and saturation.

*maybe not the whole world
great work on the first entry. after the buzz of last week's theme hope this one hasn't killed the thread! this one will maybe not be as easy as i anticipated..
