Trullo is my first thought. Or Ottolenghi? Seasons Kitchen in Stroud Green?
-

Seasons is good.
Tramp on Green Lanes http://cafetramp.co.uk/ (although I've heard the decor is better than the food).

Cheers both. Was thinking Odettes in Primrose Hill but the above both seem lovely.

ended up at the unfortunately monikered Ethicurian some ways outside of brizzle. set in a walled garden overlooking some quality postcard moments - scran is sourced from said garden and surrounding country/seaside. well worth the schlep - mater and mrs hell loved it and got smashed, i drove.

Le Cinq, Paris: restaurant review
I've been looking forward to Jays review for a week. It was worth waiting for.

Bit late (don't always look here regularly) but yes. Very good. Good veggie fare too.

Jamavar Mayfair lunchtime menu.
Must be the best value in the area. Indian food done beautifully. One to impress your partner on a Saturday trip to Selfridges. Or Vivien Westwood if that's your bag. Watch out for Lambos in stealth mode and Bentleys in 'fucking look at me' mode. -

Two friends and I went to York yesterday to have lunch at Skosh, based entirely from Jay Rayner's review earlier this year.
It was worth the travel. By miles.
Without a doubt the nicest food I've ever eaten. Also ridiculously good value.
I can't out do the review so easiest to just go and read it and take it from me that every word is true.
Book now.

Texture was wonderful. We had the tasting menu, they took great care to ensure my need for non-dairy was catered for. They give you these crisps to nibble on whilst you are deciding what to have, no idea what the fuck the are but they are like crack. They also replenish bread supplies throughout the meal.
Tasting menu
Yellow fin tuna with ginger, soy, fennel and coriander
Asparagus with goat’s cheese snow and hazelnuts
Anjou Pigeon with chargrilled sweetcorn, shallot, bacon popcorn and red wine essence
Smoked eel, bonito broth, quinoa and turnips – my favourite of the night
Veal with white asparagus, sugar snap peas and saint george’s
Pre- dessert – some sort of watermelon sorbet with jelly
Alphonso mango, passionfruit soup, sorbet and snow peasAs we were leaving they stopped us to give us some skyr to take home (sadly I cannot eat it but Simon was very happy)

Sounds amazing!
Anybody got any Cornwall recommendations? Staying in Falmouth for a week but have car.

I had a good roast in at the Star and Garter in Falmouth, not particularly posh but nice and cracking views across the water.
Any posh suggestions in North London? Islington/Haringey area.
