Ben, racks can be fixed on providing the clearance for bags is Ok, some ride with rucksacks last year... It was all good.

We need the bloke with the enormous cargo bike who came along last year. He can carry all our stuff as long as we keep him well-fed and watered (badly-burned sausages and warm beer).
That guy was a legend.

Oh yeah, Andrea. He was a don.

Cargo capacity to rival Ed Scoble. Is that heresy?

Its not very far,, but there is a Campsite in Epping Forest near Loughton
Its in the Forest and once there you would not realise that you are in Loughton.
Campfires can also be lit.
Easy to ride out to Essex from there . Its just down the road from Theydon Bois and the Roding valley, Toot Hill etc .

I like how we have a list but not destination/date.

Will have a think tomorrow. Not done much camping within biking distance of town.. -

I think a Saturday ride, camp, then back to town on Sunday. Then most of us won't have to take time off.
I'd be more than happy to do the same route. It was a nice trip, the campsite was good and Brighton is a nice place to reach at the end. Equally I'd be up for something else if we can find a suitably chilled-out campsite.
If we're launching from London, is there someone who can put me up for the night?
We could maybe do the Dunwich Dynamo route, if there's a campsite on the way? Would be nice to see it all in the daytime.

As for date, I reckon we give it 6 weeks to warm up a bit.

Plan. Determined to travel a bit lighter this time around. Less crap, more sausages.
Time for a fresh new thread perhaps? -

Yes!
I have a fairly lightweight three-man tent. However my road bike has now provisions for a rack. I could do it on my trike, though you'd all be going very slowly...
