Depends on the builder, to cater to different buyers. Rob English most certainly produces far fewer frames a year than Rourke, probably for double the cost. An English buyer is unlikely to consider Rourke.
Similarly you've got people like Rychtarski smashing out loads of frames at the lower end of the market.

That article sparked my question - I have no idea what Rob English charges but I guessed it's more than 2k. Still seems like meagre earnings for massively skilled and specialist work.
@withered_preacher - yeah, you could, but that's £50,000 gross, not the net amount.
Surely just building more per year diminishes the value, perceived or otherwise?
