  • Oh and I also use a large Ortlieb waterproof saddle bag on this to put my shit in so I don't get a soggy chrome bravo.

  • ^ is Chrome Bravo some new slang...?

Also, belatedly, Archetypes are lighter than TB14s
    http://hplusson.com/products

  • Well that settles that then, Archetypes it is.

Yeah Chrome Bravo is a euph for Cock/Ballz. Don't want to get a soggy cock n ballz.

  • General update on bieks -

Duratec is officially up for sale.

Brooklyn is now hanging up in Cycle PS with no wheels, saddle or pedals... I'm going to get the new wheels built for it soon, then whack a SMP Dynamic on it and some new ATAC's to finish it completely.

The Boardman is great, used it this morning, kept me very dry, nearly wiped out and died and its all very sensible and proper etc.

So carrying on with that theme, that Dolan Seta I had for sale... We'll I've decided to keep it and build it up as my A to B as fast as possible - smoke coming off the tyres as I slide it all the way down Camberwell Grove - crash it into the back of the 453 - leave it outside the chicken shop at 4am bike.

It will have some wheels and handlebars and stuff and it will all be very sensible.

    I'll post pictures tonight.

  • You forgot this, your rat bike that's nice and cleaner than most people's best bike but is slightly bent or something

  • All carbon everything on the Dolan or go home

  • Yeah, so this ^^ was meant to replace the Dolan Seta as the new commuter

    Cooper Track (Ron/Lee Cooper?)

Columbus tubing, not sure what, custom formed by the looks of it.

Parts bin build besides the cranks and saddle which will be going on the Seta.

Nice ride tho, it's yellow and gets dirty in about 5 seconds so will look like shit in no time.

  • Mostly carbon. Got some mad ebay carbonz bargainz. I have everything for it besides cog/lockring and bar tape, so it should be rolling on Sunday evening.

  • 453 at the bottom of Camberwell Grove?
Sort your bus route knowledge fam

  • Ah haha! I wasn't being chronological, I usually reserve sliding into the back of the 453 to a Friday night after work beers, no Camberwell Grove involved.

  • haha guess you could skid all the way into new x init

  • Of course mate, unbelievable tekkers.

  • Any movements on the Brooklyn? ;)

  • Sorry! I've been neglecting the forum, completely forgot about this thread :/

Yea thanks for asking, it is finally finished and I absolutely love it. Now that the Brooklyn has the dedicated wheelset built it makes so much more sense then when I was riding it with ellipses and 23's.

In the end with the wheel build I went with Surly Ultra New Track Hubs, Sapim D-Light Spokes which are lighter than Sapim Race and designed for disk brakes; as all of my breaking is coming from the hub area anyway I thought it would make a stiffer build. Rims are Velocity A-23's so reasonably wide and nice and stiff, anyway pic...
