The OG weren't blue though, they were clear. And those ankle 'bubbles' are way too exaggerated too
I know, but I think it's to do with the curing process for the clear rubber. I think a peroxide was used in the past that over time goes yellow. All clear Nike outsoles now have that blue tinge as its done differently from before.
