The wrap over stays scream Carlton. It's probably made by them once owned by Raleigh

Looks like an oval Carlton head tube badge not a Raleigh heron :)

The head badge prior to the Powdercoated was the same shape as this bad boy (sadly the previous owner had painted the whole bike with magnolia gloss). It's still on there but the original enamelling is gone.

dibs for a friend, pm'd
Quite a nice Raleigh frame and forks that I've had Powdercoated black.
It has a different head badge to the the current or more recent Raleighs I've encountered which makes me think it may be from the late 60s. Don't quote me.
It has wrap over seat stays and a cable guide on the top of the bottom bracket shell.
It seems to have been a fairly high end machine at the time as it's quite light compared to similarly aged frames I've had.
Seat tube is 55.5 cm (c to c)
Rear spacing is 115mm
Front spacing is 95mm
Has a square taper bottom bracket spindle and takes Raleigh threaded cups.
Will take 700c or 27 1/4 inch wheels depending on the brake caliper drop.
Would make a good single speed or fixie and would probably be pretty nice built up as it was intended.
Will come with the Raleigh branded crank, which is 165mm long and 46 teeth.
UK Postage included in the price £45 or sensible offers.
Any questions, fire away.
