Very, very nice. My custom MTB was that colour once.
Deffo looks Yates'ish but might be worth clarifying its ID with the folks in Newcastle as I don't know of any tie-up between them and Condor in London. It could be a model name of course. -

Why spend £40 on a train ticket when the guy offered to post it for £30?

If possible I'd rather collect a bike in person.

Logged in the memory banks. Cheers Mr Ben.

I'd love to take the front rack if you're willing to take it apart...

Thanks, but I think if no one wants the whole thing I'll see how I get on with it. I've just put some Humpert Climber bars on it, so the Funn 810 mm handlebars up up for grabs.

dang wish I could afford this
I just bought this bicycle on eBay after bidding speculatively and not really expecting to win the auction... Riding it home I realised that I have absolutely no need for another bicycle. Before I start faffing around with it I thought I would see if anyone here was interested in it. I paid £395 for it, and am asking for an extra £40 to cover the cost of the train journey to pick it up.
So that's £435, not £445. Sorry.
I am 5’10” and it fits me perfectly, although the bars are ridiculously wide.
The headset needs tightening and the gears could do with a bit of adjusting. Frame and forks are absolutely immaculate!
I am in Camberwell, near Ruskin Park.
I have attached the original seller’s photos. The bike doesn’t come with the pedals or bottle cage.
Here’s the text from the original eBay listing:
Condor/Dave Yates Urban Bike Chris King Shimano XT Thomson Brooks Wald Columbus Porteur
Originally badged as a Condor which I believe was built by Dave Yates.
Repurposed as a city slaying commuter/grocery getter.
Beautifully fillet brazed frame which is extremely light.
The forks are brand new and custom built. Including hand fabricated dropouts. Again very light for a steel fork.
Freshly powered coated for a durable finish.
Fitted with a mixture of old and new parts. All top quality components.
Which include:
New Thomson stem
Thomson seat post
New Funn 810 handlebars
Quality cork grips
Brooks B17 Special leather saddle
Chris King headset
New Gilles Berthoud stainless steel mudguards
Full Shimano XT 9 speed Groupset
Repurposed French Porteur rack
New Wald front basket
New Topeak frame fitting pump
All new inner and outer cables
New brake pads
New Schwalbe City Jet tyres
New Shimano bottom bracket
Seat tube 51cm center to top
Top tube 57cm center to Center
The steerer is uncut so there is room to remove some spacers to lower the bars.
The handlebars are wide and uncut. Again leaving the new owner to size the bike to their liking.
