• Are stages "moderately reliable"? Google 'stages battery issues' and you'll find a number of mega-threads which suggest not. Given that and the left-leg-only limitation, save up for the P2M.

    Re accuracy, I thought it was more important to have consisten, comparative data than absolute accuracy. If you can only afford Stages, buy Stages rather than not bothering because it's perceived to be not as accurate as more expensive options.

    Although, if you are able to fork out for a PM in the first place, agreed you might as well get something that just works for not masses more money.

  • The issue is Stages is £200 too much. Can't wait for Aliexpress version ;)

  • Buy a HRM for hundreds of quid less.
    So, it lags a bit at the start of efforts. At least it's accurate in its measurement.

    Lots of super fast people have raced and won with no electronics. That's the cheapest option.
