Anyone have a carbon smp for sale or to test?

Bought fake SMP, spent 10-15 hours using it with my Tacx trainer. First thoughts:
1) Even the first rudimentary installation has been a great improvement on my previous flat saddles. After shifting around a bit I've found an OK position and is left with really good overall comfort – save for two tiny parallel spots of aching/pain where, presumably, the ischial ramus bones joins with the respective edges. Colby Pearse writes that discomfort will dissipate as your nerve-endings toughen up. So I reckon I should wait with fine-tuning the set up until that aching disappears?
2) I had the same experience that @dammit describes really well in this post; the SMP has led to less of me leaning on my wrists in order to hold my gooch off the seat. However, since this is the first time I’ve sat on a completely smooth carbon saddle I occasionally catch myself gripping the bars to compensate for unexpected sliding. Presumably just a beginner error.
3) If I’m not mistaken then the thick chamois on my Assos Cento goes a long way to negate the benefit of the cutout. (As compared to how the SMP feels with my other shorts). The Cento padding just sort of blocks the perineum from properly sinking into the cutout.
Fuck… in my effort to troubleshoot my gooch issues I went all out and bought the thickest padding there was, to solve for X sort of, then I moved onto trying new saddles. Now I’ll probably never use the £180 Centos much….. Just leaving this out there to prevent others making the same mistake.I guess my future lies in finding a sweet spot where an SMP model with a certain amount of padding (Dynamic or Drakon?) will compensate for only buying shorts with relatively thin pads from now on. And where the cover will provide enough friction top hold my ass in the right place.

composit is also pretty nice. Even though it has no padding the base of the saddle flexes unlike the carbon copy, so it feels totally different

This.
I ride with the Composit with normal clothes everyday, the carbon with bibshort.

I suspect this is mainly a result of too much turbo training.
But I find myself interested in trying a SMP. Probably the plain carbon one (dont really like padding).
I'm not keen on the idea of spending hundreds on an Experiment. Are any of the chinese copies any good? are they representative (If I like I'd likely get a genuine one later). Or is the flex all off?

no flex in the copies but my experience of the carbon composit copy is that the shape is the same and quite comfy. the genuine composit just has extra flex. i'd say well worth the experiment.

Anyone know if its possible to buy a replacement of the bridge that holds the rails in on the back?
Want to hacksaw off the middle bit as it makes saddle bags a nightmare to fit -

After pointing the nose down on the lite 209 I still get some pressure on the inside of my legs.
It's fine on another bike with bars 2 inches higher. Should I get a different model and if so which one?

What do you wear when you ride?
-
• #816
Stretchy trousers.
The saddle snags on the flesh on the leg inside its like nose is a touch too wide.
I had that with a trk, moved to a pro on a bike with stem/saddle parallel and problem solved, then lite209 for bike with bars 2" below saddle. Those I can cycle in jeans no problem.

No idea, but I sawed off the little logo on my Extra and I've had no issues yet. Maybe I'm not thinking of the same bit as you though. I mean the selle smp logo which is there for people behind you to see. But then the rails on the Extra are connected at the back so I'd imagine it's not at all structural
-
• #818
Yeah exactly that.
But loath to do it on a £100 saddle without the option to replace it some time down the line (I'd agree that its not structural) -

Been waiting all week to pull the trigger on one of these, now its no longer available - any chance you know of any links that're still up?

Thank you man!

no probs. The only way to find them (and canyon style leaf carbon seatposts) is to search "carbon saddle" (or "carbon seatpost") and scroll away :)

Is hip rotation key to Comfort on these.
I've only tried mine on the turbo so far. Seems pretty good when in a proper riding position. Even better if I rotate my hips forward.
My turbo set up is hell though.

I think so, yes. I found mine super comfy on the TT bike for example.
