• Can someone help me understand the following problem:
    Plug telly into amp via RCA cables. AMP has "buzzy" feel to it. i.e. when you touch it, it feels like it's on. What's not grounded? The telly?

    The amp isn't buzzy when telly isn't plugged in. Or when turntable is plugged in and playing.

  • Sounds like a ground loop. Happens when the earth on two devices is connected, but there's a slight difference in the "potential" between the two which means that current flows down the earth wire / shielding which is usually mainly comprised of 50Hz hum.
