  • Really good entries this week.

  • Found and shot at this location a month or so ago and I thought it was perfect for this theme, so I decided to return and take another shot.

    Granite
Ricoh GRD IV, slight crop and colour correction done in LR.

Ricoh GR1V, Portra 400 shot at 1600 and pushed two stops
cropped obvs and also messed with the colors and curves, plus I cloned out a guy who was standing in an unsymmetrical place

  • Some really amazing submissions. We should publish a forum (photography) book😁

  • Lovely light in this Marcom. How did you do this?

  • A dark place lighted only from one side; overexposure with light in camera; levels: extra push on the highlights and a partial closure of the shadows.

  • This feels like it could be a still from that godzilla film he never made. Great work.

  • 'Kubrick' as a theme rather than 'one point perspective symmetry'. I'm aware this is a stretch but it was more fun.

  • I just remembered I cloned a guy out of my submission (I totally forgot while I was trying to decide which picture to submit), that's not against the rules is it? Pretty sure Kubrick would've cloned out extraneous guys if he had to.

  • doesn't seem to be...

    6. Any editing allowed but please be honest about what has been done, this is about learning as much as a bit of healthy competition.

it really is an amazing shot you've taken there.

  • My entry:

    Asylum
    D7000, 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 lens.
1/125, f3.5, ISO 1250. Crop, white balance, and a little bit of tinkering in LR.

    The real Vanishing Point.

    D300s, 11-16mm Tokina F2.8
    1/10 F2.8 ISO 1250

Having gone on a very long walk, taken loads of bridges, fiddled about in photoshop, was just about to post, only then did I have this idea. Typical.
