Nah, unpick the stitching for that panel and sew in a whole new piece of material.

Just sew a whole new panel over that one. 5 minute job for a friend with a machine. Look out for (green/olive) Carridice type repair fabric for waterproofness and match.
Anyone ever got a stain on a messenger bag, specifically a Chrome one, and managed to get it out? I emailed them and followed their advice of warm soapy water but the stain remains. No idea where it came from. Wondering if I should try spraying it with WD40 in case it's oil based and doing the soapy water again or perhaps dry cleaners can do some magic.
