  • Yes! Such strong. wow.

  • cheers, annoyed that I didnt have time to hang around for a shot without people in it. A shame because I've taken plenty in the past but as per the rules I needed one shot this week.

  • I've only been to Manchester once, to see a friend last summer. We walked into the Northern Quarter one day, and on the way he said 'everybody takes pictures down these archways - it's a great shot'.

I hadn't seen the proof until now :)

  • It's true, they pop up on my instagram feed constantly. Pretty much every Manchester photographer has multiple versions of this shot.

    thanks!

  • Christ, that's brilliant.

I don't think I'm going to enter this week, the quality is quite intimidating.

Here's the best I have managed so far.

    Which is quite nadge.

  • Like the new submission a lot.

  • Edited as per @marcom's "No comments before closing date" rule which I agree with.

With the style being described as "Symmetry, subtlety, and the thin line between civility and barbarism." - perhaps not so much with symmetry but I thought this captured the latter two parts well.

  • I like that.

Strong entries this week. Even @chrisbmx116 hasn't come in and started shitting on every-one's photos ;)

  • So, can I enter with a scamp and "picture this" spiel?

  • Also like lens looking back @gillies

  • thanks chaps. I was standing on the train and turned around a bit and found myself staring straight down the lens. I'm 6 foot 5 and the ceiling was low so it really was right in my face. A bit odd.

Once I'd taken the picture it reminded me of HAL, except with a more human looking eye.

  • Exit Left
Bit of an obvious choice, but I managed to blag my way into a local hotel to get it, so I was happy with the effort!

  • Can you only vote if you submit a picture or also if you don't?

  • very nice!

  • Nice certainly very Kubrick....insert child/bike....

  • Nice ! were the twins just round the corner !

  • I like this thread!

  • In my opinion the most obvious pictures, just a copy of the Kubrick movies scenes, are the less interesting.

And for fairness to all participants no comments on the entries should be allowed while the voting is still open, so that not good or bad influence can be injected in other brains.
