Yes - Hillary could well get arrested, in which case all bets are off. Trump draws most of his support from outside the 'conservative movement', who fear he will destroy the Republican party as currently configured.
The assassination comment was tongue in cheek, but when you have managed to enrage everyone from the republican establishment, to big money, to ethnic minorities, to Christian and Muslim fundamentalists, you have a lot of enemies and a target on your back. My bets are the CIA will see him off.
