I'm certainly less worried about the horizontal truing because the front wheels don't have brakes and the rear wheels have discs that are mounted on the drive shaft.
What I really want to do is reduce, as far as possible, the amount of spokes that get broken during the course of racing. The flange is already a bit on the thin side so I'm going to recommend the future hubs are milled with at least an extra mm to make the spoke seat better.
