I think there's a real market for a very basic spec car where even a radio would be "luxury".
Small engine, manual gearbox, bare bones interior. I want.
But I see what you mean - stripped out, lighter weight cars will always be significantly more fun to drive. Banger racers look like riotous fun, but they're not exactly road legal.
It's actually difficult to order a car with fuck all in it these days.
Even my ancient '89 M3 had the luxuries of the time.
Kind of why I like what Rod Emory and Magnus do with theirs. Simplicity is key.
