whilst he stood next to me saying it was an accident.
With iPhone in-hand and WhatsApp open, yeah?

going North on 7 Sisters Road at the tube station junction
I've also crashed into someone who cut across me at the West Green Road junction as I was heading north on the A10. Caught me totally by surprise. Must have been the pink Rapha jacket acting as camouflage.

Yeh - something like that - I was wearing an Exposure Diablo on a helmet mount. Post-bump I was talking to him and he had to shield his eyes whilst he said he hadn't seen me! Brilliant. Mind you - I did look back up the A10 into oncoming traffic and it's a carnival of lights at that time. Even an ED on flash mode could get lost in that lot. Nevertheless he didn't think bike.....

What have the police said? Cause that contradiction clearly states him as guilty?

Awful looking crash in southwark this morning, a lot of police and ambulances and the whole junction blocked off.
Looked to be something with a rubbish Lorry. Tarpaulins out hope all involved ok.

Being reported as a motorcyclist

Saw the poor fucker being stretchered about 9.30, LOADS of fire crew there presumably to get them out from under the bin lorry.
Heal up Scooter person.

...before he collided with the lorry.
classic standard.
fuck the standard.

• #11741
Fuck, not good at all. Heal up, whoever you are.
In other news, going down Upper Thames Street is a nightmare at the minute because of the roadworks. It causes people to attempt really silly filtering moves when they'd be much better off just waiting, then moving with the rest of the traffic.
Got dinged at last night by a fellow cyclist for blocking the tiny gap down the left of a lorry. I moved aside with a 'if you want to go down there, mate, be my guest'. Watched as he contorted himself around the wing mirror.
In retrospect, if the lorry had started moving and he'd been hit I probably would have felt quite guilty for letting him through.

Lorry positioned as if it had been turning right onto Union St from Blackfirairs Rd northbound. Right hook of overtaking moped, or head-on, either way a flippin nasty looking incident.

a flippin nasty looking incident.
Indeed. Sounds horrific for all involved.

Coaches in bus lanes, are they allowed? Had some French coach ahead of me today who kept veering in and out of the bus lane, was a relief to finally get past them. Also regularly get the Stansted CityLink coaches which are almost universally shitly driven.
I was cheered up on my commute in to see someone in a West Ham shirt with Wanchope on the back. I don't know why as I'm not a West Ham fan

• #11745
Nope, local buses and black cabs only....plus bikes and motorbikes.
-
• #11746
Depends on the signage and the type of coach.

Hmm, TFL seems to say any bus over 10 seats https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/red-routes/rules-of-red-routes/bus-lanes but I'm not sure if there is a distinction between bus and coach. The Easyjet Stansted minibus never seems to use the bus lanes which it appears it could.

Anyone knows what happen on Blackfriar Road this morning? Police taped off the entire stretch from E&C

Scooter and lorry turning right apparently...I think he went under it.

The story was on the st*nd*rd website, I think. Rider trapped under truck? Will find link if someone doesn't beat me to it.
Pumped my tyres up, had a tailwind, got home very quickly. All this talk of 28c tyres not needing to be pumped up as much is true, but I'm pretty sure there is a speed/effort difference between 65 and 85 psi.
