I just bought a cheap Epson v500 on ebay, so I could mae some digital contact sheets/convenience. I'm pretty impressed with it, for what it is. These are the first two images I've ever scanned (not very interesting photos, just grabbed one b+w and one colour to test it out), using the standard Epson software, both straight out the scanner. Click through to the big versions, althought these are compressed jpgs, the resolution is pretty acceptable for my needs.- both shot on gw690 and scanned at 2400dpi.
any tips on decent/cheap or free scanning software and scanning techniques?
