Can you post a photo of the mudguard attachment at the chainstay bridge. I'm thinking of getting wider tyres and guards, but am worried the wide guard won't fit here. On my Pompino a 35 mm SKS Chromoplastic completely fills the gap between the chainstays.

Do you have a v4 or the earlier one with the wishbone stay? At least on my Pompetamine, the wishbone has stacks of room available, width-wise
