Not trying to be a hopeless glass half full here, but we've got young players who are performing for us because Master P got rid of the dead wood salary and playing wise and trusted in them. None of them are the finished article yet and we shouldn't be looking to sell for another couple of years at least. Also the players shouldnt be looking to go to any of the teams on that list because despite having the confidence and thinking they'll play, they probably won't as those teams usually buy in the finished article rather than promoting youth, so seasons of bench filling and earning big wages for doing so beckon.
Read any of the interviews with eriksen and one of his reasons for choosing Spurs was the opportunity to play first team football and not ride the pine.
Chelsea and Man City are two in recent times who've brought young ones and then brought old experienced ones who sit in their path to the first team. Part of the philosophy with The Sheriff, is not to do that. To allow the youngsters to develop and if the premier league scuttle butt is to be believed we've got one of the best academies in the league, so young players know they'll get a chance to develop, play, and hopefully win things.
What you're saying is a variation on the "you've spent the bale money, now you have to win the league otherwise you won't get another chance" well we have this chance don't we. We don't have to win the league, we have to progress and challenge and keep that window of opportunity open for as long as possible, by keeping our players for as long as possible.
Yes money is a massive massive driver for player movement, but equally so is actually playing week in and week out, with the possibility of playing important matches...Apologies very long post from my iPhone.

We don't have to sell players who probably don't want to go to the big clubs because most of them will just sit on the bench and not play while bigger better names are constantly suggested to replace them.. -

I'd love it if cheque book Jo turned up in the summer to find they aren't even in the champions league.
Expect arsenal fans to be flooding social media tonight. Brilliant stuff.
It's Leicester S to lose now -

I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal and Spurs both somehow contrive to lose on Saturday. Snore draw more likely.
