Let's leave Fat Frank out of this...

Your 'Enfield' jibes are not working and are sort of pointless.
I'm watching my local team...which is more than I can say for you. Watching Spurs in a pub in Brixton whilst cuddling a shandy does not make you a fan

That's not true though is it? What is and isn't a fan in today's multimedia stream and source world has changed and cost drives it. Also, the model of being with mates watching the match on high def TV screens is the norm. Because of cost.

• #125139
It's a hopeless notion where one can claim to be a fan just cos you watch them on tele

• #125140
It's a rough state of affairs when it costs so much, the beer is shit, and the product paid for leaves you feeling empty.
I think we've, people, clearly moved to the SUPERWEEKENDEXTRAVAGANZAOFFOOTBALLFROMAROUNDTHEWORLDDON'TGETOFFYOURSOFA model.

By that definition one could not call oneself a fan of so-and-so's music unless one goes and see them live and listening to them via your headphones is pointless?
So you are not a true Coldplay fan unless you go and watch them at Glastonbury -
• #125142
It's another badge of authenticity debate, pointless really...
-
• #125143
Coldplay is a terrible example BTW...

• #125144
I thought Pisti liked them? Although they are more suited to Chelsea fans

The fan/supporter dichotomy is a contentious one. I can't go watch my team regularly as I've moved away from where I grew up (haven't most people?) and fucking off for 6+ hours every other Saturday doesn't fit well with family life. They're rarely on telly anyway.
I occasionally take my daughter to see her team (Fulham) as it's local to us and you can get tickets on the day, but at 6 years' old she's not ready for going there every home game. At least it's teaching her a valuable lesson about disappointment.
I'm a shit fan anyway, I dislike a lot of the chanting/tribalism that goes on at football so it's probably best that I watch it from the quieter family section or just on telly/BBC-website/twitter/Ceefax.

Ceefax?! Fuck me...have you still got a Soda Stream too??
-
• #125147
No. Because Israel.

• #125148
There's a woman in Australia who puts cheap cask wine into a Sodastream, she swears it tastes like Champagne...

• #125149
Fuck off, Mike.

Yep, with a worse record than Woy
Don't let facts get in the way of a blinkered view as to who's the saviour though
