  • Wow

  • Every year around 70000 accidents are involved with cyclists!

    FACT!

  • @banthebike

You are ill informed and cretinous. You also have no apparent social awareness or talent for communicating. It is highly likely that due to this you have no real friends.

You seem to have anger issues, possibly coupled with feelings of inferiority and persecution. It is likely that you experience paranoia which you combat with aggressive posturing and over confident presentiments. Again this behaviour will do nothing to endear those around you to like you.

I expect you have no fulfilling romantic relationships in your life and that any partner you have or have had now resents you and wishes you didn't have to spend any time at all with your children. Who are embarrassed by you and hope for daddy weekends to past swiftly and uneventfully.

You seem to have time on your hands to campaign for useless things. I suspect this is due to not being able to fill your time with a satisfying career or hobbies. You may well feel that your life is slipping by on a meaningless tide. That there must be more to it that this? Don't you deserve more from this world?

    Probably not.

Kindly cock off, you ladle-faced saliva bag.

  • Who has the burning torches? *sharpens pitchfork tines.....

  • I'd like to make it known that I hate internet witch hunts.

  • When are the boys going round?

  • Look, I hate to burst your bubble here but there is a faint chance that you've made a horrible mistake.

Car drivers have the "compulsory training, compulsory identification objects and compulsory insurance" but kill and seriously injure way more other road users than cyclists do. That includes pedestrians who are using the pavement. This isn't just a double figure percentage higher but killing and maiming by several orders of magnitude. Obviously we know that all drivers are perfect examples of compassionate and caring humanity and that cyclists are evil, murderous hate-killers bent on the destruction of all that is beautiful in this world. So the evidence is pretty clear on this one, training, identification objects and insurance are the cause of all this horrifying death and life-changing injuries. Asking for cyclists to be trained, identifiable and insured will just make the roads so much worse.

Take yesterday for example. My wife and I were cycling along a road like the godawful people that we are. By pure coincidence my wife was cycling in a manner consistent with government mandated training when she was struck by a beatific and halo bearing driver in their super-happy tree-hugger wagon. It was only by extreme fortune that the driver managed to go against all of her training and not cause any significant damage. I attribute the minor scuff on the end of my wife's handlebars to the inescapable effects of the license plate. Now imagine if my wife had been properly licensed, formally trained and comprehensively insured as you suggest. By my calculations the effects of the collision would have leveled all of the homes within a quarter mile radius of the impact point. Is that what you really want?

  • Signed

One of those cyclist lycra stasi types jumped a red pavement last week and killed me while I was paying my road helmet tax

  • We could start a ban the Ray Ramnath parliament petition?
Interesting to see in parallel how many signatures that would get

  • The Instagram account is priceless: https://www.instagram.com/banthebike/

  • Seems to be into cage fighting and dietary supplements.

  • The 'vroom, vroom' one is fantastic.

  • See also scanthebike.com

  • It's back open.

  • My new favourite thing.

  • I'd like to be as eloquent as some of the posters above but all I have to say is this:

@banthebike go and take your mad balls elsewhere and get a fucking dog up you.

  • Audi driver?

  • Beat me to it. Made me laugh out loud.

  • It isn't even coherent.

    Dose the campaign want to

    A) Ban the Bike, as the title suggests

    or

    B) Introduce compulsory training, insurance and indexing . for bikes on the roads.

Surely one bit contradicts another? That makes it read like a stupid idiots rant against X.

  • I'd postulate, whatever it is, it's a Chelsea tractor...

  • I like his line in Lance Armstrong memes.

  • banthebanthebike

No, definitely don't ban him. He might be stupid, but he hasn't spammed, been abusive or threatening yet.
