Something I really like in Mark of the Ninja / MGS V is the fact that getting spotted is not an instant failure thing.
I also think getting movement to feel both right, and engaging is also key. I accept that Ripley in Alien Isolation is a very different character to Venom Snake, but the way she runs feels like enforced difficulty by slowing the player down. I keep on wanting her to be able to dive into cover etc etc. At the other end of the scale, something like Dishonored takes movement into an offensive realm, and gives you a real sense of learning a new way of playing. Just don't leave the player feeling hobbled
Hey folks, looking for some opinions. Those of you who are into stealth games, which are your favourites and what makes them so good in your opinion?
Looking to start building a game over the next few months and while I've got a good idea of what I'm going to build, I'd also like some input from others.
