  • Offering this here because:
1; It's got track ends, and

  • What's another year? My tandem is still available, I'm clearly not in a rush to sell, but if it strikes a chord with anyone, then let me know. Dropped to £360.

  • Dark days of parenthood....rings a bell.

    Wish I had the cash.

What sort of height would the stoker need to be?

    Glws

  • Was just thinking the same thing re stoker height/age.

Wondering if I could fit our Hamax child seat and keep both kids amused at once

  • I thought one twin at the front on a seat, another in a seat on the rack and their older daughter keeping me honest. She's only 4 and they're 2.

  • Sorry for essay:
Used for school run, my elder son stoked from about Xmas in Reception class, just 5yrs, small build. Suppose it depends how reliable they are, for holding on. Zodiac can adjust slightly smaller for stoker than a Thorn (tried one at a cycle show).
Age gap to my younger son is 3 1/2 yrs, so he went up front on a Bobike mini, and squawked constantly about the cold cos I was too cheap to buy the windshield. Elder stoked to year-4, then maybe got teased about it in class, so stopped. I think younger son stoked to end of year-5.
Top marks if you successfully ride with twins&elder. Though unsure a seat mounted above Zodiac's 20" rear wheel would make a happy childhood experience. There's been Christianas advertised recently.
    Thanks for interest. S.

  • Thanks, the essay is useful.

Eldest is 6 so might get a couple of years on it and would extend the very short rides we currently do together. Little one is 2 so she could take over when he's grown out. My wife would have to ride with the Hamax as currently I take them both (2yrs on Hamax, 6yrs on his own bike) so guess she kind of gets the last word.

    Pm'd re test ride

  • Great design. Had one similar (the Libra) suitable for young child or an adult at the back.

  • Zodiac now has a new family and a keen young stoker, so all is good. I'm looking forward to seeing the touring photos, @at313, and I've first refusal on buying back once your kids have outgrown.
Yes, great design. Whoever in Sheffield was responsible for the Zodiac (and the Libra), thanks, we had a blast with ours.
