  • Undoubtedly people were doing it before then. It just seems like another American rewriting of history to start when Americans got involved.

  • I read it as Z-Trip starting out saying it wasn't a style enjoyed much in the area he was in so they hooked up (he & Dj P) and made this for local distribution expecting it to be marmite and it got popular.

    The later bit about 'starting a revolution' and 'putting a flag in the ground' again probably relevant on a local level to them.
