Will they? They've never tried to upsell anything when I've been in (Leeds.)

Just buy quality mid-range and you'll be grand.

They did when I was in Brighton. Haven't been to the new Leeds store yet (used to be on the Headrow as I recall).

After 20 years in live music I use Van Damme cable and connectors now. I figure that as it's the industry standard you can't get better.
