Yeah, that was one issue at the Worlds - there was a fast dog leg turn so I'd exit a right-hander and then couldn't see the left-hander because my handlebar light was still pointing to the right. I overshot the turn a couple of times going too fast and would actually flick the bars mid-turn to help spot the corner apex. Sketchy... and this was on a course that I've ridden before, for an entire day! Not on unknown roads.
Yep, pretty right.
But the pure is powerful thanks to greats optics, indeed.
I usually ride my bike up to 50+ kmph during descents, never had a single issue if your light is correctly fitted.
However during cornering I sometimes use a headlight on my helmet to see where i'm going before the handlebar turn
