I've had two sets of veloce from 2011 and 2012 and they've been super solid, I treat them like crap and they work fantastically. Power torque is a bit of a pain of course, I replace the crank with a s/h UT when the bearings go.
The only reason to get Athena is if you want silver. Otherwise chorus all day.

Does anyone still ride the Romanian groupsets ? Looking at new groupset options and Power torque on Athena looks like a terribly designed system. I've previously had Ultra torque cranks (old Veloce) and don't mind that, but then the new design cranks on Chorus upwards look as though they've hit every branch on the way down the ugly tree.
