Had some new thigh tattoos done last Monday. Posted pics A few pages ago. Just finished peeling and stuff as I generally heal fast I think but my god these have been the most itchy tattoos ever since they stopped peeling!
All my other tattoos were itchy but not this bad!
Any good ideas on how to cope haha -

That programme is hilarious. The 'artists' do some terrible pieces.
-
• #10683
Agreed. They could do one that looks half decent and then the next one could look..... Well, just shite lol

I wish my colleague would stop asking me every other day if I have watched it last night, I think he probably watches episode 3 times... and he wants to spend a day with Lou and wants me to do the introduction, well OK, that's £550, that will cost you. No thank you. Don't fucking tag along to my next appointment when we do actual work.

Admittedly, I have watched it on several occasions.
I'm more shocked by what people are actually having covered up. In comparison to what gets covered the "artists" featured are geniuses.

It's entertaining enough and some of the things people have tattooed are ridiculous, like a picture of them shagging their mate's mum?!
But. The 'artists' are not good tattooists, they're at the level of small town studios with a couple of hundred quid day rates offering versions of much better tattooists' work at a knock-down price.
Any real tattooist worth their salt would have told the producers to fuck off though so I'm not surprised that the fame-hungry try hards are who we are left with. Proper artists don't need the 'exposure'.

They're not bad artists, just terrible tattooists

Tried using a Saniderm dressing on my back for my recent tattoo. Being such a big piece, in such an annoying place for aftercare, I like the idea of applying it and forgetting about it for four days.
Zero scabbing, and no peeling. No hassle of applying creams, and clinging to clothes etc. Today, a week after getting the tattoo done, it looks like all my other tattoos did after about 2.5/3 weeks.
Works really, really well. Will deffo be using again.

Not arguing with you as I have gotta to know Lou quite well over the last year and heard enough insight about the show and why she left etc... Anyway, but didn't a similar show got Nikole Lowe a lot of exposure? She seems quite successful...

The first girl seems a lot more creative than the other one.

To be fair most of the time they do fix the shit tattoos people come in with. By fix I mean produce stuff better than what they came in with..... Most of the time.Which is the name of the show. But I would say they are some of the uk's best tattoo artist as the show says in the into lol

The Muggles on the show wouldnt know a good tattoo if their lives depended on it, hence why they have a Tattoo of a spunking cock spelling Ibeefa on their neck.

This is also very very true.

Ta for the Saniderm recommendation. We are getting some blackwork touchups in May and I have pre-emtively ordered a roll.
Nice work BTW. Glad it's healed up well.

Yeah te girl in series 1 was decent, sketch has done some good work but inconsistent, the other lad has done some "Japanese" pieces in season 2 which almost made me cry

I don't even have any tatts, but it ain't difficult to spot a decent artist.
Will be getting some stuff done at the end of April though.

just to weigh in on the tattoo fixers thing, I've got no issue with their work, since most of it is a darn sight better than the shite the person comes in to have covered up in the first place.
I just don't understand why people think it's okay to get a tattoo when drunk whilst on holiday in magaluf, like that's ever going to end well. Though I do love the faces the tattoo fixers crew pull when magaluf is mentioned in any opening story... -

I can't comprehend why you would ever get a tattoo to please or entertain someone else/other people.
All mine are things that I like that I've chosen, I like to think they are aesthetically pleasing but don't really GAF what other people have to say about them.
Williams, Savage, Fowler or Keane: all bell ends.
