have dan lepard's handmade loaf at home, if you need to borrow to get starter made, not that difficult, issue is making enough bread to keep it active, otherwise you have to plan ahead to get it good and ready so that you can then make bread.
text me when/if you want to grab it..

I have this book and although it is a great book, the sourdough section isn't detailed enough. I made crappy sourdough for a while until I bought Tartine while in SF. Never looked back.

interested to know what people buy consistently and for what reason. ie. what's in your favourites basket? would like to try some new stuff.
eg. frozen spinach coz it's economical and easy, this is a new purchase for me and not sure why i didnt do this before. same for medley of frozen mushrooms, so good.
preda dried mango packets because they are the most delicious things on earth
dalesford milk - coz milk shouldn't be ridiculously cheap -

As lovely as Mr Bao was I have learnt an important lesson. Steamed buns have milk in them, how did I not realise this! I now have no voice and a nasty rash.

Frozen leaf spinach > frozen chopped spinach - the chopped is 200% water, not sure how they accomplish that
Frozen grated ginger and frozen chopped chilis work for me - used infrequently in our day to day cooking so having them available in small quantities when needed is so easy and stops needless prep work when doing your mise.
Veggie stock powder over salt to flavour all the things
