Actually even 140mm on the rear is way too powerful already.
was actually thinking I prefer the look of the smaller rotors. I run 160s on my 29er and never had a problem stopping so yes agreed 160 on a road bike would almost certainly be overkill for myself
It would be, even after two years of riding with disc brakes predominately, it's still very tricky not to lock up the rear during an emergency stop.
Yeah, get 140's Much less faff
The 140 I've got on the rear of mine is good enough - I locked it up (purposefully) a few times last night under heavy braking
