Never used threaded forks before, its on the girlfriends bike, so sorry if I'm asking stupid questions... Generally, will a lbs have the tools to cut a threaded fork correctly?

Surprisingly most of the older Evans stores (as in not newer than 5-6 years ago) have this tooling. Unless they've recalled them. Was standard workshop kit at one stage.

Not all that surprising given that they used to build frames on the premises at The Cut.
